Well, if so, then let’s introduce you to DJ Monty with the Dope Sound’s can’t wait For Revolution: Volume 2. This historical mixtape series explores a new way to experience revolutionary moments in time!
DJ Monty with the Dope Sound, commonly known as “Not Your Average DJ” explores the vast reaches of the power deejays hold. Not only they “rock the party” or make people “feel good”, they also have the power to revolutionize minds! DJ Monty carefully crafts each historical speech with passionate tones and tempos that capture the essence of the message, thus giving the speech a provocative r&b/hip-hop flair. The track entitled “United Front” emits a dual purpose to shake up convictions in civil rights and to illuminate the vocal vibrato of H. Rap Brown, assisting the musical urgent call to arms. DJ Monty follows up CW4R: Volume 2 with a track series called “Live From The Mountaintop (Parts 3 & 4).” IN CW4R: Volume 1 sets the optimistic stage for Martin Luther King Jr. to move his message inside a composition of piano, string, and many other sounds.
CW4R Volume 2 is not only ear-pleasing and hard-hitting; it also serves as a hip educational tool! DJ Monty aims to create a “middle ground” between teachers and students to dialogue about history in a trendy way. His musical sound closes the “age gap” by creating a commonality of hip-hop music that will spark younger generations to become actively interested in researching historical movements of the past. Thus, further revolutionizing future movements through fusing music, history and education.
